Rococo wedding dress

Robe à la francaise

Period: Rococo, around 1770

We reconstructed this Rococo bridal dress from precious silk lampas fabric, which has been woven in accordance with an original pattern of Lyonnais silk from the second half of the 18th century. Distinctive of this type is its wavelike pattern with inwrought flower bouquets.

This dress comes with two different stomachers, one rather plain and the other more opulent. Both have also been crafted based on original templates.
A corset and a pannier made of plain-colored silk serve as undergarment.
